Update on Face-to-Face Services

The past four days of offering our service face-to-face have once again opened my eyes to the many struggles of our neighbors who are homeless. At least two pulled-up chairs have been at our table filled with new guests who share their stories and need resources to offer them a hand-up (they have, in turn, shared some that I didn’t know existed). They have also answered my questions about life being homeless here. These seats are not solely occupied by adults. You will also find younger children coloring and sharing with me their plans to play with friends after leaving there. I have had several teenagers who need to vent about life in an RV.

Summer and before school starts in the fall are our busiest times of the year. We have almost run out of adult hygiene bags and are completely out of children's hygiene/activity bags. In the past 4 days, we have had 33 children that would benefit from one of our bags. Any donations of items would be greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at either Fast & Fluffy location. Monetary donations are also appreciated. As you can imagine with the great increase in guests we have even more funds needed. I have several grants out but those are never a guarantee. Thank you for teaming up with us to help our neighbors!
