Without Judgement

I am often asked how I know if my guest are homeless, low-income or in need of our services since I don’t ask for any proof. My answer is easy…There is one judge and I am not it. The 2nd Thursday of each month is an evening my volunteers and myself look forward to. Anyone that has ever let anyone go ahead of them in line at the grocery store, bought a coffee for the person behind them in the drive thru line or volunteered before knows the feeling of thinking of others. At our events it is no different. We watch our guest walk through the doors with dirty laundry and heavy hearts and leave with smiles on their faces and clean clothes in their baskets. No judgements are made.
